This handmade one of a kind, stunning Victorian inspired Steampunk necklace features an antique circa 1900, 15 genuine ruby jewel, hand finished Swiss pocket watch movement.
The watch is mounted upon a highly detailed, antiqued sterling silver over brass Victorian inspired, leaf motif filigree setting.
I was fortunate enough to salvage this amazing time piece, from a severely damaged and beyond repair, Sterling Silver ladies pocket watch case. Being able to re-purpose this fine time piece giving it a new life, by incorporating it into this elegant necklace was such a joy!
The 100+ year old watch mechanism is absolutely beautiful, handmade and superbly finished, displaying brilliant genuine ruby jewels, exposed gold gears, highly polished steels plates, accents and a subtle, wide pinstripe guilloche engraving. I hand picked an antique silver watch gear and set within its center, a amethyst purple Swarovski crystal stone.
The pendant is embellished further with a antique circa 1900 steel watch gear that has been set with a fabulous genuine pearl, located at the top of the pendant and a smaller antique steel gear set with a faceted purple Swarovski crystal stone, placed just beneath the watch movement.
A gorgeous genuine faceted purple Amethyst briolette drop capped in antiqued silver filigree and topped with a genuine pearl, hangs from the bottom of the pendant, completing the piece.
Two antique silver filigree capped genuine faceted Amethyst beads, attach the pendant to a gunmetal oval and round link chain, with lobster clasp and 4-inch chain extension with genuine Amethyst bead drop.
The necklace measures: 18-inches long at its shortest length or use the 4-inch extension to lengthen the piece up to 22-inches.
The pendant measures: 2-1/2 inches long by 1-3/4 inches in wide.
