Antique Victorian Skeleton Key Necklace accented with gold filigree, a Vintage Hamilton Watch Movement and Red Garnet Swarovski Crystal, Steampunk Jewelry

This necklace is the perfect addition to your Steampunk jewelry collection and the ideal keepsake!

This handmade one of a kind Steampunk necklace features a genuine Victorian circa 1880 – 1900 steel skeleton key with original patina.

I’ve adorned the key with a antique circa 1940 American made pinstripe engraved Hamilton wristwatch movement, mounted on an ornate antiqued brass filigree accent.

The watch movement itself is exquisite displaying satin finished steel plates, 17 brilliant genuine ruby jewels, exposed gold brass gears and steel cogs.

I’ve embellished the brass filigree and the timepiece with a faceted red garnet Swarovski crystal stone set within a steel gear.

The key pendant hangs from a soldered antiqued brass beaded oval link chain with lobster clasp.

The chain length is: 24-inches long.

The key measures: 3-inches tall by 5/8-inches wide.

This incredibly fascinating piece is made from a antique circa 1870 Victorian Sterling Silver Swiss made key wind pocket watch case, with original beveled glass crystal.

This lovely 140+ year old Sterling silver pocket watch case was completely handmade.

The front and back of the case has been exquisitely engraved with a floral scroll motif and a french moire pattern.

The back of the case also features a shield that is perfect for monogramming!

The pocket watch case is embellished with a highly detailed antiqued brass dragonfly. Also within the case is a faceted 2.0 carat cushion shaped Tanzanite Swarovski crystal stone and a variety of vintage circa (1870 to 1950) watch cogs, gears and wheels made of brass and steel.

The case itself is in fantastic condition for its age, it has a few blemishes here and there, which just adds to its old world charm. The hand engraving is intact and in excellent condition, which is rare for a precious metal watch case that is over 140+ years old.

The pocket watch case suspends from a Victorian styled bail I've fashioned from a piece of sterling silver over brass filigree.

A soldered antiqued silver beaded link chain with lobster clasp completes the necklace.

The watch case measures: 1-5/8 inches in diameter and the watch case & pendant bail is 2-1/4 inches tall.

The length of necklace/chain is: 24-inches long.
