The perfect piece of wearable Steampunk art!

This handmade one of a kind, necklace features a rare 17 ruby jewel antique circa 1930, LeCoultre watch movement.

This stunning tank style gents vintage watch movement was produced by the prestigious LeCoultre watch Co. LeCoultre is known for some of the most beautiful, high grade and collectible watches in the world.

Jaeger-LeCoultre is a luxury Swiss watch and clock manufacture based in Le Sentier, Switzerland, that dates back to the first half of the nineteenth century, founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833.

The brand has hundreds of inventions and over a thousand watch calibres to its name, including the world’s smallest watch calibre, one of the world’s most complicated wristwatches and a timepiece of near-perpetual movement. The company has been a fully owned subsidiary of the Swiss luxury group "Richemont" since 2000.

I was thrilled when I found this particular movement, as a watchmaker I have always loved "LeCoultre" watches, they are exceptionally made time pieces and highly prized among collectors and watch enthusiasts.

This watch mechanism was originally housed in a 14k solid gold case, however its previous owner had scrapped the case for its gold value. I was able to salvage the inner workings which no longer function as a viable timepiece and re-purpose it into an amazing piece of Industrial Steampunk jewelry!

Exquisitely designed and well finished, the mechanism displays, brilliant genuine ruby jewels, exposed gold gears, highly polished silver wheels and ornately cut satin finished silver gear plates.

The watch mechanism is securely bailed and hangs from a soldered antiqued silver oval link chain with lobster clasp.

The pendant measures: Just under 1-1/4 inches tall by 3/4-inches wide.

The length of necklace is: 22-inches.
