Victorian elegance and a finely made antique timepiece make for the perfect combination in this exceptional one of a kind handmade, Steampunk necklace.

Featured is a 15 genuine ruby jewel antique circa 1914, American made "Waltham" gold gilded pocket watch movement.

This fascinating timepiece is mounted on an ornate Victorian inspired flower and leaf motif heart mounting in Sterling Silver over brass.

The pocket watch itself is absolutely stunning and was produced by the world renowned, Waltham Watch Co. The mechanism displays brilliant genuine ruby jewels, blue steel accents, exposed brass gears and ornate guilloche floral engraving on gold gilded wheel plates, with their original warm patina finish.

I've embellished the movement with a steel antique pocket watch gear set with a Lab Created Black Opal Gemstone.

Various sizes and shapes of vintage faceted black crystal beads are hand wire wrapped and capped in filigree.

A antiqued silver (With Rhodium finish to protect from tarnishing), french rope chain with lobster clasp, completes this lovely wearable art piece.

The necklace/chain length measures: 24-inches long.

The pendant measures: 2-5/8 inches long by 2-1/2 inches wide.

This is an absolutely stunning handmade one of a kind Neo Victorian Steampunk necklace!

Featured is a antique hand-finished Swiss made pocket watch movement set upon an ornate, antiqued brass Victorian inspired flower and leaf motif brass filigree mounting.

The pocket watch itself is fabulous!

The timepiece was approximately made in the late 1880 and is considered high grade/high end and was most likely to have been housed in either a solid gold or Sterling Silver case. The mechanism showcases 15 genuine ruby jewels, delicate scroll and pinstripe guilloche engraving on ornately designed wheel plates and a fascinating pattern of exposed brass gearing.

I've adorned the watch with a antique steel watch gear set with a lab created black opal gemstone.

A Faceted black Swarovski Crystal briolette capped in filigree suspends from the bottom of the filigree pendant.

The chain is made from various sizes and shapes of hand wire wrapped faceted vintage jet black crystal beads capped in filigree. The beads attach the pendant to a soldered antiqued brass Victorian inspired chain with lobster clasp, completing this amazing wearable art statement piece.

The necklace measures: 20-inches long.

The pendant measures: 3-3/4 inches long by 2-inches at it widest point.

This extraordinary wearable art piece speaks for itself!

An incredible example of a finely made timepiece can be found here with this stunning solid 18K gold hand enameled ladies Antique Victorian Pocket Watch Case Necklace.

I remarkably came upon this piece while at an estate sale. The watch mechanism had been removed prior to my discovery of this amazing watch.

Unable to restore the watch to it previous state, I was able to give it a new life and repurpose it as the necklace you see before you to be cherished for generations to come.

PARTICULARS:

Age:

This Rare Late Victorian antique circa 1880, 18K solid gold Swiss made watch case was completely handmade. The entire body, back and front of the case has been exquisitely decorated with a starburst pattern of guilloche enameling in vibrant colors of Teal and Red accented in Black. Between each diamond frame of enamel is an intricate etched design.

This is an exceptional art piece, the pictures just don't do it justice!

Embellishments:

Captured within the pocket watch case is a repurposed Late Victorian (1880 – 1890) handmade filigree earring (It was a single) made from Vermeil (Sterling Silver with Gold Wash) and set with a cushion shaped 1.0cttw Genuine Garnet gemstone.

A variety of vintage circa (1870 to 1920) watch cogs, gears and wheels made of brass and steel are also included along with another 3.0cttw of sparkling faceted Genuine Garnets in various cuts and shapes in round, heart, marquise and oval.

The pendant is adorned with a hand fashioned bail made from a an antiqued brass filigree.

Condition:

The case itself is in fabulous condition for being 135+ years old. The enameling is mostly intact. There are some spots on the back lid by the bottom hinge that have missing areas of enameling. Overall there is very little wear on the piece which is quite unusual for a watch case over a century old.

Neck Chain:

The pocket watch case suspends from a secure soldered solid rope chain in Vermeil (Sterling Silver with 18K Gold wash), with lobster clasp closure.

The length of necklace/chain is: 22-inches long.

Measurements:

The watch case measures: 1-1/4 inches in diameter. The case is 2-1/4 inches tall including the filigree bail.

Metal: Guaranteed Tested and Assayed Solid 18K Yellow Gold.

The Watch case weighs: 12.5 grams
