Steampunk Necklace watch movement gears silver filigree butterfly Amethyst pearls purple crystal

This handmade one of a kind, Victorian inspired Steampunk necklace is absolutely exquisite! Featured is an antique circa 1910, American made "Waltham" pocket watch movement and two matching antique circa 1940, Swiss made wristwatch movements.

The pocket watch mechanism itself is stunning and is the focal point for this fabulous piece. Produced by the world renowned, Waltham Watch Co. Waltham, is known for manufacturing some of the finest factory made, hand finished pocket and wrist timepieces to date. Many Waltham watches are prized by collectors and watch enthusiasts alike.

I chose this particular Waltham pocket watch, for it beautifully designed gear plates, that are ornately engraved with a scroll and floral motif. It also features brilliant genuine ruby jewels, exposed gold brass gears and highly polished silver steel wheels and accents.

The watch is set on a highly detailed, antiqued Sterling Silver over brass, Victorian styled floral and leaf motif filigree setting.

I've embellished the movement with various antique steel pocket watch winding wheels set with a amethyst purple Swarovski crystal faceted stone and a larger faceted amethyst purple, cubic zirconia gemstone. A antiqued silver filigree butterfly which is securely mounted to the watch by steel screws, is adorned with various vintage steel watch gears set with amethyst purple Swarovski crystal stones. The focal pendant is finished with a gorgeous 2.0+ carat faceted genuine Amethyst teardrop briolette, capped in filigree and topped with a genuine pearl, which hangs from the bottom of the pendant.

Accenting the focal pendant, are two matching antique circa 1940, Swiss made wristwatch movements. Each movement is set on a Sterling silver over brass, filigree floral motif setting and is embellished with an additional gear, that I hand picked and set with a amethyst purple Swarovski crystal faceted stone.

Four hand wire wrapped genuine Amethyst beads capped in silver filigree and four genuine white pearls, attach the focal pendant and accenting pieces to a antiqued silver oval link chain with lobster clasp.

A 4-inch chain extension, with genuine Amethyst bead drop, completes the necklace.

The pendant measures: 3-inches tall by 2-1/4 inches wide.

The necklace measures: 18-inches at it shortest length or use the 4-inch extension to wear it up to: 22-inches long.
