This handmade one of a kind, Steampunk necklace features a rare antique circa 1894, guilloche engraved 15 ruby jewel, Waltham pocket watch movement.
The watch movement was produced by the world renowned, Waltham Watch Co. Beautifully designed and hand finished, this mechanism displays brilliant genuine ruby jewels set within raised solid gold jewel mountings, exposed gold brass gears (The large center wheel is genuine solid gold), highly polished steel accents and decorative silver wheel plates.
The pocket watch movement itself is absolutely exquisite! Every surface on the back face of this movement has been ornately guilloche engraved in silver and gold with an exceptionally intricate, star burst, scroll and checkerboard motif pattern. The pictures just don't do this stunning piece of wearable art justice.
I've embellished the pocket watch mechanism with a antique steel watch winding gear set with a faceted ruby red Swarovski crystal stone.
The watch is embellished with an antiqued silver Victorian inspired flower bail, that has been tightly and securely screwed onto the watch.
An antiqued silver oval and figure 8 link chain with lobster clasp, completes the necklace.
The pendant measures: 1-7/8 inches tall by 1-3/8 inches in diameter.
The length of the chain is: 18-inches.
