You will fall in love with this gorgeous one of a kind keepsake locket necklace!

This incredibly fascinating piece is made from a antique circa 1870 Sterling Silver Swiss made pocket watch case, with original beveled glass crystal.

Rarely do you have the opportunity to own a magnificently handmade 140+ year old art piece such as this one. I was so thrilled to come across this case!

Repurposing this stunning and exquisitely hand engraved case was an absolute joy!

The case from front sides to back is expertly engraved with a leaf and floral scroll motif design, it absolutely breathtaking!

The back of the case also features two shields that are perfect for monogramming.

The inside of the pocket watch case is embellished with a highly detailed antiqued brass bumble bee charm. Also within the case is a faceted 2.0 carat oval shaped purple amethyst Swarovski crystal stone and a variety of vintage circa (1870 to 1950) watch cogs, gears and wheels made of brass and steel.

The case itself is in fantastic condition for its age, it has a few minor blemishes here and there, which just adds to its old world charm. The hand engraving is intact and in excellent condition, which is uncommon for a precious metal watch case that is over 140+ years old.

Sterling Silver pocket watch cases are becoming increasingly rare and are incredibly hard to come by in good shape. Typically many of these beautiful watches are fated to be melted down for precious metal value.

The pocket watch case suspends from a Victorian styled floral bail, that I’ve fashioned from a piece of sterling silver over brass filigree.

A soldered silver rope chain with lobster clasp completes the necklace.

The watch case measures: 1-5/8 inches in diameter and the watch case & pendant bail is 2-7/8 inches tall.

The length of necklace/chain is: 24-inches long.
