This is one of the most beautifully engraved 14k yellow gold filled mans watch cases I've come across, the pictures just don't do it justice!
A highly detailed antiqued Sterling silver over brass bumble bee, has been captured inside, along with various hand picked antique watch gears, wheels, cogs, (Circa 1870 to 1940) and a large stunning, round brilliant faceted 5.0+ carat, color changing Alexandrite gemstone.
Alexandrites exhibit the unique phenomena known as Color Change. Under indoor lighting alexandrites can be a redish-purple while outdoors they can turn a beautiful teal green.
Both the front and back covers and the body of the pocket watch case are exquisitely hand engraved with a floral and leaf motif. The case itself is in lovely condition and has a few minor chips along the edge of the glass crystal, which just adds to the old world charm and is typical for watch case that is over 120 years old.
The pocket watch hangs from a 14k rose gold filled antique circa 1890 genuine Victorian slide chain. The slide itself is gorgeous, displaying hand engraving and 6 inset genuine seed pearls.
The watch case measures: 2-3/8 inches in diameter and 3-1/8 inches tall.
The length of slide/neck chain is: 24-inches long.
