Steampunk Necklace Antique IWC International Watch Co. Timepiece with Faceted Crystal Stone Clockwork Pendant on Silver Chain Statement
Steampunk Necklace Antique IWC International Watch Co. Timepiece with Faceted Crystal Stone Clockwork Pendant on Silver Chain Statement
The perfect piece of wearable Steampunk art!
This handmade one of a kind, necklace features a 17 ruby jewel antique circa 1930, rare "IWC" watch movement.
International Watch Co., also known as IWC, is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and founded by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones in 1868.
This watch mechanism was originally housed in a 14k solid gold case, however its previous owner had scrapped the case for its gold value.
I was able to salvage the inner workings which no longer function as a viable timepiece and re-purpose it into an amazing piece of Industrial Steampunk jewelry!
Exquisitely designed and well finished, the mechanism displays, brilliant genuine ruby jewels set in raised gold jewel settings, exposed gold gears, highly polished silver wheels and ornately cut pinstripe engraved silver gear plates.
I've adorned the watch with a antique steel watch gear set with a faceted Swarovski crystal stone.
The watch mechanism is securely bailed and hangs from a soldered antiqued silver oval link chain with lobster clasp.
The pendant measures: Just under 1-1/4 inches tall and 1-inch in diameter.
